Ja Morant made headlines on June 29 when the Portland Trail Blazers traded for him from the Memphis Grizzles. The star guard once again garnered NBA fans’ attention on Wednesday after Nike unveiled his fourth signature shoes.
It features a gradient upper that transitions from a black mesh at the rear to neon green towards the front. The news triggered a wave of reactions, with many surprised that his line with Nike has not been discontinued.

There’s no doubt that Morant is one of the most talented guards today. However, his off-field issues and injuries have stolen the spotlight from him early in his career. Playing for the Trail Blazers next season is a fresh start for the two-time All-Star.
He’ll also have a chance to learn from veteran stars like Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday, whom he’ll share the backcourt with. While there could be a log jam at the guard spots, Portland is opting for depth. Morant can revive his career and not have all the pressure on his shoulders starting in 2026-27.
