You know that feeling of pure excitement you get when you watch a movie with an extremely happy ending? Or when you see a puppy running through a field? That was the feeling that J.J. McCarthy seemed to have being back in the building today before talking to the media.
The former Michigan Wolverine walked up to the podium and got right to it in saying the news that every Vikings fan had been waiting to hear.
“But most importantly, I want to thank Tyler, Matt, and the whole crew. You know, did a tremendous job with me feeling like 110% and, just so excited to be out there with the guys again, have them in the building and get rolling again.”
When asked a follow-up question of “How do you feel today? How do you feel overall?” You could see McCarthy light up and smile from ear to ear before answering.
“Overall, I feel 110% because I feel like better than, you know, when I got hurt eight months ago.”
Not sure there is a more positive message that the Vikings or their fans could ask to hear at this point.
