Without a certain person who likes football players who play in purple, anyone else notice the mood has changed around here?

I'm not singling you out or talking about you specifically, Ryan, but some people here need to simply learn how to ignore some posters and not get baited into arguments over stupid stuff. There are a lot of last-word-Charlies here and sometimes one just has to let them have it...I know 'cuz I am one! :D (though I try not to be here)

It seems You guys are shooting fish in a barrel. Not playing fair. The fair thing would be to wait until he is back on.

totally agree wally. and no, i don't think it's more "pleasant." pleasant is for tea parties, not a football board. although vikesfan may be disgustingly repetitive at times, i enjoy his insights (albeit biased) into dg's past and his outside views on the cards. gives us a little insight into how the rest of the nonprofessional sportswriter world reacts to our moves.

and frankly, i think it rather shoddy that y'all would rather have someone removed than either standing up for what you believe or being the bigger man (or woman) and ignoring him.

Ouchie, how do you ignore someone who posts in every thread and repeats the same mantra over and over again? The majority of posters on this board post when they have something pertinent to add to a discussion and they can get their point across without being beligerent. Hopefully this hiatus will teach Vikesfan that he is not all knowing about this Cardinal team and he will post about things he is familiar with and not be so argumentative.

it's easy, put 'em on "ignore." i did it w/ tango for a long time until my morbid started getting the better of me and i lifted the ban. now i don't cringe every time i see a post from tango. taking a self-imposed tango hiatus was enough for me. remember, YOU have control over what you read. you see it's posted by vikesfan and you don't want to read him, it's not like he can take ya by surprise. it's called self-control.

What is self-control?
Self-control is a set of behaviors which:

Accepts the reality that the only thing in life which you can successfully change and control is yourself.

Keeps in check all self-destructive, addictive, obsessive, compulsive, irrational, and unacceptable behaviors.

Gives you a sense of personal mastery, autonomy, and competency over your own life.

Is under your control and power to direct and orchestrate with no need for interference or manipulation from others.

Makes you the master of your own destiny because it keeps in check those barriers and obstacles which are a threat to your overall success in life.

Is a middle ground between perfectionism and laxity in self care.

Results in your life having a balance and focus by helping you to cope with new challenges in life as they come.

Helps you to keep your over-emotional responses in check or moderation.

Helps you to open yourself up from nonfeeling or pulled-in emotions so that you can have a healthy emotional life.

Is the foundation for healthy coping and contributes to your accepting personal responsibility for your life.

Keeps your life in moderation, helping you to avoid extremes in any direction.

Is the focus of the efforts to let go of the uncontrollables and unchangeables in your life so that you can concentrate on yourself.

Eliminates the need for you to be manipulative, helpless, fixing others, intimidating, overdependent or a caretaker of others.

Helps you to be detached from others and to keep your relationships in a healthy balance of give and take.

Reflects your inner desire to grow up into a mature, responsible adult.

It ain't worth all this effort ;)

Why do we worry about this guy so much(or Girl). He says what he says and you can scroll down to the next message if you don't want to read him. He has a view and he should feel that he has the right to express them. Sometimes these kind of fights show the maturity of the posters.Live and let live. I hope he posts again so I can use my right to scroll right past.
