Isn't Wake Forest a golf college?

Maybe Pace was drafted to provide the Cardinals with a golfer to compete with all the other teams that don't make the playoffs for off season tournaments..........no seriously......The Charlotte Observer who know a lot about NC teams and players said....."a real sleeper who was rising fast, very fast up the knowledeable team scout boards...... if the Panthers didn't have Peppers, they would have taken him in the second round".

Rock and Roll Ricky Proehl went there. Michael McCrary also went there. Hopefuly down the road, people will be saying "that stud DE Calvin Pace went there."

Well there is a flip side to that

Let's say you are correct and Wake Forest is total crap for football.

Then THAT would make Pace's accomplishment's that much more impressive.

I have stayed out of the Pace debate because he is a definite wait and see type guy.

To me, our biggest blunder was giving up a 4th round pick in that trade. We need every player we can get, and some outstanding players went in the 4th round.

Bingo....the loss of the 4th was the biggest mistake of trading down.
