The Oregon Ducks were plagued by injuries heading into the College Football Playoff Semifinal matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers, and reports have now surfaced that another devastating injury occurred during the game.
Left tackle Isaiah World, who transferred to Oregon from Nevada for his final season, suffered a torn ACL in his left knee against the Hoosiers, per The Athletic's Dane Brugler.
"[World] had surgery earlier this month," Brugler wrote in a post on X. "Won't be attending the Combine, but will be available for medical re-checks and 30 visits."
World arrived in Eugene with high hopes of solidifying himself as a high-round draft pick come the 2026 NFL draft. While he wasn't necessarily garnering first-round buzz, he was widely viewed as a talented left tackle and one who could be selected on late Day 2 or early Day 3. Now, with the news of his torn ACL, his draft stock is a bit more cloudy.
While he won't be present at the NFL Combine and likely his Oregon pro day, World making himself available for medical re-checks and visiting organizations is important in remaining on the board for NFL teams.
World will more than likely still be drafted based on the product that he put on the field during his time at Nevada and Oregon, but the torn ACL suffered in his final college game may cause a slight, if not larger, fall in his draft positioning.
