Isaiah Stewart was spotted on the floor after the Detroit Pistons' morning shootaround May 1, ahead of Game 6 against the New York Knicks on their home floor.

Stewart is listed as questionable heading into the elimination game for the Pistons, who are down 3-2 and will try to tie the series at Little Caesars Arena after taking Game 5 at Madison Square Garden, 106-103. The forward has missed his last four playoff games and the final two regular-season games with right knee inflammation.

He checked out of Game 1 early in the fourth quarter after hobbling on his right leg for 19 minutes, and his status was "questionable" before he missed all of Games 2-5. It was his first time attending a shootaround since Game 1.

Returning in Game 6 would provide a massive lift for a Pistons team that's survived without him, but has certainly missed his defensive presence.

"The passion and the spirit that he plays with, and he is elite defensively," Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff said before Game 5. "He's one of the best rim protectors in our league, he can switch out and guard perimeter players.

"There's a lot of versatility that you lose from a defensive standpoint. You can't match or make that spirit that he plays with. It's definitely something that we've missed. I think other guys, Paul Reed, for example, have done a great job of stepping up and trying to fill that."
