It seems fair to say that the state of North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball is in flux right now. Freshman Isaiah Denis is the first player to enter the transfer portal after the firing of head coach Hubert Davis, and he might not be the last.

Denis was sparingly used during his first and potentially only season in Chapel Hill. He appeared in 10 games, with the most recent opportunity for playing time coming on February 17 against NC State.

While many transfer portal entrants keep their past in the rear view mirror, Denis looks prepared to keep all options open, including returning to North Carolina. He stated that it was a legitimate possibility on his Instagram announcement.

Denis was a four-star recruit coming out of high school.
