The 2025 Masters is underway with practice rounds and numerous traditions, and the first round is right around the corner.

But first is Tuesday night's Champions Dinner, where Scottie Scheffler will host the past champions to celebrate his victory in 2024. But is a certain five-time champion going to be there?

Tiger Woods ruptured his Achilles last month and will be one of 17 past Masters champions not playing at Augusta National.

Tiger Woods Achilles injury update

Tiger Woods, the 15-time major champion, ruptured his left Achilles while ramping up training to return to competitive golf. He underwent a successful procedure to repair the tendon, which Woods called minimally invasive. Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida, performed the surgery, and said Woods is expected to make a full recovery.

There's no timetable for Woods' return, though he's likely not to play until later this year or early in 2026.

Will Tiger Woods attend the Masters Champions dinner?

It's unlikely Woods will attend the Champions Dinner, but we can't rule it out until the picture comes out this evening. He wasn't at Augusta National on Monday to join Fred Ridley for an announcement involving him designing a 9-hole course and opening up a learning lab in Augusta, instead taping a statement that aired during Ridley's press conference.

Additionally, Radar Atlas on X (formerly Twitter) is notorious for tracking flights, and the account, which normally tracks Tiger's movement like a hawk, hasn't posted anything about his plane being en route to Augusta as of 3 p.m. ET Tuesday.

How many times has Tiger Woods missed the Masters?

This will be the fifth time Tiger Woods has missed the Masters in his career. He made his debut as an amateur in 1995. He missed playing in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2021 and now 2025. He had played in six of the past seven Masters, including his latest win in 2019. Woods has the record for consecutive cuts made at 24.

How many times has Tiger Woods won the Masters?

Woods has won the Masters five times, his first coming in record fashion in 1997. He's also the last golfer to win the Masters in consecutive years, winning in 2001-02. His fourth victory came in 2005, and then 14 years later, he added a fifth green jacket in 2019.
