Another member of the Texas Tech basketball team is reportedly headed to the transfer portal.
LeJuan Watts is the latest Red Raider to get into the transfer portal, according to The Athletic.
ESPN reported that Watts will also go through the NBA Draft process.
Watts spent one year with Texas Tech after one year at Eastern Washington and another at Washington State. He averaged 11.8 and 6.0 rebounds, starting 28 of his 33 games with the Red Raiders.
Watts joins Leon Horner and Nolan Groves as members of the 2025-26 Texas Tech roster heading to the portal.

This was not an unexpected move as Watts wasn't able to replicate the success he had at Washington State with the Red Raiders. Presumed to be the Darrion Williams replacement, Watts had some great moments but was inconsistent with his shooting, taking care of the ball and defense, which made keeping him on the floor a difficult proposition for head coach Grant McCasland.
With Watts also going through the NBA Draft process, it's most likely that he will not be back at Texas Tech next season as he'll get feedback from the pros to see what he needs to do to get to the next level and find a landing spot that'll put in him a position to get drafted in 2027.
At this stage it is possible the Red Raiders will either lose or be without their top four scorers for next season with Watts entering the portal and Donovan Atwell exhausting his eligibility. JT Toppin's future is still unknown and the presumption is Christian Anderson heads to the NBA Draft, though that decision has yet to be finalized.
