It's been two months (and seven games) since the Los Angeles Chargers last saw rookie running back Omarion Hampton take the field, and the team couldn't use him more than now with quarterback Justin Herbert dealing with a fractured hand.

Thankfully, the Chargers appear to have some relief on the way ahead of Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Listed as questionable after returning to practice last week, Hampton is expected to play, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Saturday. It'll be his first game since a Week 5 loss to the Washington Commanders on Oct. 5.

The Week 14 tilt won't be easy against an Eagles team tied for ninth-fewest points allowed on the season, but there is an opportunity in the ground game for LA, especially with Jalen Carter ruled out for Philadelphia.

Who is Omarion Hampton's backup?

Kimani Vidal is the Chargers' backup running back and has used his time in relief of Hampton to lead the Chargers' backfield with 121 carries for 543 yards (4.5 ypa) and three touchdowns.
