The Indiana Fever find themselves in a seeding race with the WNBA Playoffs nearing. They are one of five teams within a game of each other, and could determine who gets homecourt advantage in the opening round.
\n
That makes today's game against the Chicago Sky all the more important. It's also an opportunity to bounce back after a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday, in which the Fever led by 20 points and led before Chelsea Gray hit a game-winning 3-pointer.
\n
Kelsey Mitchell remains second in the league in scoring average (24.1 per game). Caitlin Clark, who missed two free throws late in regulation and turned it over in overtime before Gray's 3, had been red hot as the Fever were strong throughout July. She's averaging 21.5 points and 8 assists per game. Aliyah Boston averages 17 points 8.4 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
\n
Rickea Jackson leads the Sky at 18 points per game and grabs 4.8 rebounds per contest.
