The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to close out their first-round series and eliminate the Denver Nuggets with a win in Game 6 on Thursday night.

Unfortunately, they'll continue to be without star guard Anthony Edwards for the critical contest.

Anthony Edwards out for Game 6 vs. Nuggets due to left knee injury

Anthony Edwards has been ruled out of Game 6 against Denver due to a knee injury he suffered in Game 4. It will be the second straight game missed by Edwards due to the injury, which is expected to keep him sidelined for the foreseeable future.

In addition to Edwards, Minnesota will also be without starting guard Donte DiVincenzo for the remainder of the postseason due to an Achilles tear he suffered in Game 4.

If the Wolves are able to defeat Denver in Game 6, they will advance to face the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference semifinals. If not, the teams will head back to Denver for Game 7 on Saturday.

Obviously the Wolves would prefer to avoid a do-or-die game in enemy territory, so the sixth game of the series should be treated as an absolute must-win for both teams.
