Iowa women's basketball to host Eastern Illinois in 2026-27 season

Another date on Iowa women's basketball's 2026-27 nonconference schedule has emerged. The Hawkeyes are hosting Eastern Illinois at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Nov. 5.

The news of the Nov. 5 matchup was revealed through the Panthers' nonconference schedule release. EIU also has nonconference dates against against Drake, Iowa State, Missouri, Purdue and Northwestern.

The Panthers finished last in the Ohio Valley Conference a season ago with a 4-27 overall record and a 3-17 mark in the OVC during head coach Marqus McGlothan's second season at the helm of the program.

The Nov. 5 meeting at Carver-Hawkeye Arena will be Iowa's first-ever meeting against Eastern Illinois. Tipoff time and broadcast information for the game are still to be determined and will be announced at a later date.

This Eastern Illinois contest joins dates against Towson, UConn, Vanderbilt, Drake, Iowa State, and Northern Iowa as part of Iowa's 2026-27 nonconference slate that has been revealed thus far.
