Iowa basketball is back in the Elite Eight for the first time since 1987 and will take on Illinois on Saturday night for a ticket to next weekend's Final Four.
The 9-seed Hawkeyes took down 4-seed Nebraska to reach this point. Illinois, a 3-seed, took down 2-seed Houston on Thursday to set up the high-stakes all-Big Ten battle tonight. In the only meeting between the two teams earlier this season, the Illini took down the Hawkeyes, 75-69, in Iowa City.
