As the 2026 Iowa football season nears, the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series clash against Iowa State on Sept. 12 at Kinnick Stadium has officially sold out. Iowa's athletics department announced the sellout on Thursday.
Single-game tickets went on sale to donors on Monday and then general public tickets went on sale Thursday morning.
Set for a 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff on NBC on Saturday, Sept. 12, this season's Cy-Hawk game against the Cyclones represents just the third time that the rivalry clash in Iowa City will be contested in primetime (2002, 2016).
In Thursday's release, Iowa announced that approximately 1,750 tickets remain for the season opener against Northern Illinois (Sept. 5, 3:15 p.m. CT); 400 tickets for UNI (Sept. 19, 3 p.m.); 750 for Ohio State (Oct. 3, TBA); 2,500 for Wisconsin on Homecoming weekend (Oct. 31, TBA); 5,000 for Purdue (Nov. 14, TBA); and 2,500 for Nebraska (Nov. 27, 11 a.m.).
Dating back to the start of the 2022 season, Iowa has sold out 28 consecutive games inside Kinnick Stadium.
