He's a star wherever he goes! The Iowa Hawkeyes saw Bennett Stirtz follow head coach Ben McCollum to Iowa City when they both came from Drake, and he has delivered everything they had hoped for and then some.

He has been a huge part of the reason Iowa has turned things around so quickly in McCCollum's first year as the Hawkeyes' head coach, and they are making a return to the NCAA Tournament. On the way to doing that, Bennett Stirtz put up some fantastic numbers all year long.

Playing nearly every minute of every game, while averaging 20 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game, Stirtz has earned a nod as an AP All-American Honorable Mention.

This continues the incredible trajectory of Bennett Stirtz everywhere he has played. Beginning at Northwest Missouri State, he was named the MIAA Freshman of the Year in 2023 and was a Second-Team All-MIAA selection. When he went to Drake, Stirtz was named a First-Team All-MVC selection and the MVC Player of the Year in 2025.

He gets to don the Iowa uniform at least one more time this Friday, when the Hawkeyes open up their NCAA Tournament action against the Clemson Tigers.
