Iowa basketball player Alvaro Folgueiras and Florida's Alex Condon were both called for technical fouls on a held-ball play Sunday during an NCAA Tournament game in Tampa, Fla.

Folgueiras got tangled up with Condon on a held-ball situation. Condon threw Folgueiras to the floor, and Folgueiras made a closed fist and swung toward the ball.

CBS announcers initially speculated that Folgueiras would be whistled for a flagrant-2 foul, which carries an automatic ejection.

After officials reviewed the video, they determined no flagrant foul was necessary. Florida coach Todd Golden was irate and screaming at the officials after the double technical was called.

The play happened with 8:34 left in the first half and Iowa leading 19-13.

Iowa coach Ben McCollum talked about the play with a CBS sideline reporter at the next timeout:

"I don't know, they were just going for the ball, and then everybody got all sensitive," McCollum said. "Their people got sensitive. It's like, you're trying to play ball. It's whatever. We'll compete. We'll fight. We'll see what happens."
