Florida State is looking to bounce back after two back-to-back losing seasons, and they will look to get off on the right foot in 2026 when they host the New Mexico Aggies to open the year. They will then quickly jump into ACC competetion, hosting the SMU Mustangs.
Athlon Sports has ranked the best ACC games to watch this season, and while that isn't one, another one of their matchups is among the top 10. Their matchup against the Clemson Tigers on Oct. 31 is ranked as the best game of the week.
The Seminoles' last game hosting the Tigers was in 2024, when FSU was defeated 29-13. In their last matchup at Death Valley, Clemson won again, 24-10.
Florida State's last win over Clemson came in their 2023 season, when they beat the Tigers in Death Valley in overtime, 31-24. Before 2023, their last win came in 2014; a stretch of seven straight losses with Clemson dominating most of them.
FSU leads the series 21-17 over Clemson. At home, FSU is 12-7 against the Tigers. They will look to make it 13-7 this Halloween.
