The wrong end of a Tequila bottle.
MJ had running backs coach Kirby on this morning and they were asking him about the promotion of Emmitt to starting RB. Kirby's explaination seemed to make a great deal of sense. It really boiled down the leadership and experience. Smith has always been known as a solid leader, someone that isn't afraid to jump in people's faces when it's needed. Kirby said that after the coaches had a chance to talk it over, with a young QB, 3 young WR, a revamped OL, it only made sense to utilize Smith's maturity. They loved the way Shipp works hard. They love his ability. They really believe that Shipp will continue to get plenty of PT and develop into the type of leader that Smith is now.

I didn't really like the move in the beginning, but this makes a great deal more sense to me now and will probably be very important early on in the season while we have so many young guys just getting used to the league and the new offense.

Yeah while some of you guys fly off the handle about these moves like DG doesn't know what he is doing and he just fluked out 9 non-losing seasons in the NFL - every move was well considered and done for a reason. Look at the Dexter Jackson comment he made.

 Nobody is out to get DG, already. Most everyone is happy to have him here as a coach. You should know that by now, "Mary."

Ah I know that I said some there is just a couple guys who are being unfair now. A couple more will join in after the 1st camp. Then after the 1st loss. Then after a losing season. It builds. People will lose faith in him unfairly.

If he screws up fine turn on him but be fair. What did Mac get 3 years?

Nice signature line there Mary.

That big fat guy, Michael Moore, from Flint Michigan, where they build gas guzzlers, is making millions on rubes like you.

As long as Shipp gets plenty of PT and lots of touches, I think we can all agree that Emmitt is as good a starter as needed. Starting matters not, ultimately. it's who plays the most, and the most effectively. Apparently in Emmitt's case, it's not about his feet, it's about his huddle...

No reflection on Marcel, Emmitt or anyone else for that matter, but as far as I'm concerned, we can start Nate Hobgood-Chittick (can you say it fast 3 times?) at RB - just so long as we win games.

Realistically, they don't build anything in Flint, Michican anymore. That's what that movie's about.

For the record.
