Inter Milan director rules out summer move for Real Madrid midfielder: ‘Not even realistic’

The latest Eduardo Camavinga transfer speculation has received a major update after Inter Milan publicly distanced themselves from any move for the Real Madrid midfielder.

Camavinga’s future at Real Madrid has become one of the talking points of the summer, especially following reports suggesting that Jose Mourinho is not counting on Camavinga as a regular starter next season.

With uncertainty growing around the Frenchman’s role, several clubs have been linked with a potential move, but Inter Milan have now made their position crystal clear.

Despite enduring a difficult campaign and missing out on a place in France’s World Cup squad, the 23-year-old remains one of Europe’s most valuable midfielders.

Speaking about the rumours, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio dismissed the possibility of signing the Real Madrid midfielder in comments reported by Fabrizio Romano.

“It’s not even realistic. In terms of value and salary we can not sign him, no way,” he said.

That statement effectively ends the recent Camavinga transfer rumours involving the Serie A giants.

Mourinho’s plans for Camavinga raise questions

While Inter Milan are out of the picture, Eduardo Camavinga’s Real Madrid future remains uncertain.

The former Rennes midfielder struggled to produce his best football last season and endured one of the most challenging periods of his career.

His campaign was heavily criticised following an infamous red card against Bayern Munich, while inconsistent performances throughout the season affected his standing within the squad.

Those struggles also had international consequences, as Camavinga was omitted from France’s World Cup squad.

Recent Real Madrid transfer news has suggested that Mourinho’s plans for Camavinga do not involve a prominent role in the team.

In fact, the Portuguese coach intends to inform the midfielder that opportunities could be limited next season, potentially opening the door for a Camavinga exit.
