Inter Miami: another slip-up from Luis Suárez
Luis Suárez is making headlines once more, but not for his exploits on the pitch. The Inter Miami striker has been suspended by the MLS disciplinary committee after a violent incident involving Nashville defender Andy Najar. With his team trailing 2-0, the Uruguayan lost his composure and delivered a heel strike to his opponent’s groin. While the referee didn’t penalize the action at the time, the American league later made the firm decision to suspend him for “violent conduct,” along with an undisclosed fine.
This latest incident further tarnishes the end of the Pistolero’s career, as he has already been sanctioned several times for similar misconduct. Last September, he was handed a three-match suspension for spitting on a member of the opposing staff during the Leagues Cup final. Once again sidelined at the most crucial moment of the season, Luis Suárez is in danger of leaving a bitter taste for Inter Miami, who were still counting on his experience to clinch a playoff spot.
