One of the biggest question marks about the Celtics potentially trading with the Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo is what Milwaukee would do with Jaylen Brown.

Most likely, the Celtics would have to part with Brown to land Antetokounmpo, but it hasn't seemed realistic for Brown to stay in Milwaukee. There has been speculation that the Bucks would look for other teams to send Brown to in a trade, but that might not be the case.

HoopsHype NBA insider Michael Scotto reported on Saturday that the Bucks would have some interest in keeping Brown.

"Despite some executives around the league assuming it would be a foregone conclusion that the Bucks would try to flip Brown to another team to get future first-round draft pick compensation as part of a rebuilding effort, it’s not a certainty," Scotto wrote. "If the Celtics indeed acquire Antetokounmpo and Brown ends up going to the Bucks as part of the trade, the Bucks would consider keeping Brown, HoopsHype has learned."

It would be unwise for the Bucks to retain Brown. Since Brown will turn 30 this year and the Bucks appear to be entering a full rebuild, it wouldn't make sense to keep him. Additionally, it appears Brown is not interested in remaining with the Bucks if the Celtics trade him.

"It’s worth noting that ESPN’sMarc Spears said Brown wouldn’t want to play for Milwaukee," Scotto added. "Meanwhile, Brown is locked in for $183 million over the next three seasons on his contract.
