Michael Hoecht's first season with the Buffalo Bills was marred by injury and missed games.
Not only did the defensive lineman have to serve a six-game suspension, after starting well in his first game in Week 8, Hoecht was quickly injured. A torn Achilles ended his first year in Buffalo far too quickly for his liking and it's an injury he is still dealing with.
In terms of hoping for a bounce-back year in 2026, Hoecht is working towards that still recovering this offseason. We have recently received updates on Hoecht's injury status.
“They keep telling me not to put any dates on it," “They keep telling me not to put any dates on it," Hoecht said during OTAs. "I'm gonna try and be ready to go for camp, but the whole thing is to be ready for Week 1.”
General manager Brandon Beane followed up with an update on the player from his view.
"Mike loves every single part of the process. Loves every single thing that it takes to get ready to play an NFL game. He definitely feels like he got cheated last year on being able to play and help this team," Beane said. "Again, we're going to have to protect him from himself. He'll be ready to go at camp, but we'll still have to monitor him"
