Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers are most known for having a team full of players with ample experience. Cignetti has lost a lot of talent to the NFL draft this past offseason, but there are some stars on both sides of the ball that will ensure there will not be a drop-off.
In a recent article, Dalton Wasserman and Max Chadwick remind the Big Ten of a star that needs all the attention and game preparation this upcoming season in Amare Ferrell. Here is what they had to say:
"Indiana should once again boast an elite secondary despite losing multiple key veterans. A big reason for that is the return of Amare Ferrell, who is tied for the Power Four lead with eight interceptions over the past two years. Ferrell has proven durable as well, having played more than 1,500 snaps over the last two seasons."
The last two seasons, Farrell has been a ball-hawking safety and one of the most productive players on the Hoosiers' defense. Many may think the Hoosiers' dominant defense will lose a step, but it is players like Farrell who will ensure that is not the case. When the Trojans face off against the Hoosiers this season, Farrell will need to be the player Jayden Maiava and the Trojans' offense heavily prepare for.
