What is India's record in Sri Lanka in Test matches?

History strongly favours India heading into this series, given their commanding performance during their last Test tour of the island back in 2017, when they swept the three-match series 3-0.

That campaign began with a 304-run victory in Galle, followed by an innings-and-53-run win in Colombo, before India completed a clean sweep with an emphatic innings-and-171-run triumph in Pallekele.

Overall, India have won nine out of the 24 Tests they have played in the island country, lost seven, and drawn eight.
