The BCCI selection committee has named the squad for the multi-day leg of the trip, as India A are set to play two four-day matches against Sri Lanka A in Galle, which are scheduled to run from June 25 to July 5.
Dhruv Jurel was appointed as captain, and Devdutt Padikkal named his deputy.
Before those red-ball games get underway, India A will also take part in a white-ball tri-series from June 9 to June 21 in Dambulla, involving Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A.
The most eye-catching selection in the red-ball squad is Auqib Nabi, the Jammu and Kashmir pacer who has had a breakthrough domestic season.
His haul of 60 wickets in the Ranji Trophy, which helped J&K claim the title, has earned him his first India A call-up. He will spearhead the pace attack alongside Yash Thakur and Anshul Kamboj.
With the bat, Sai Sudharsan has been included despite currently being part of India's senior squad for the one-off Test against Afghanistan in New Chandigarh.
