DUNLAP — Peoria-area football earned a visit from the state's top college football program.

Illinois football coach Bret Bielema was on the sidelines Friday night for the high school football game between Morton and host Dunlap of the Mid-Illini Conference.

Bielema and the No. 25 Fighting Illini (5-2) are on bye this week. They next face Washington on the road on Oct. 25.

The Illini have offers out to both Morton offensive lineman Soren Fifer and Dunlap linebacker Bo Sutter, the younger brother of Alabama recruit and Dunlap senior Mack Sutter.

Illini head coach Bret Bielema, right, on the sidelines. He’s likely here to see Dunlap soph. Bo Sutter and Morton jr. Soren Fifer, who both have Illinois offers.
