IHSAA softball sectional brackets and scores from East Central Indiana

The IHSAA softball postseason is officially upon us.

Softball sectional tournaments begin this week with some games scheduled for Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Sectionals will run until Saturday, May 30, followed by regionals on Tuesday, June 2. Semi-states will be played on Saturday, June 6, and the season will culminate in state championship games at Purdue's Bittinger Stadium on Friday and Saturday, June 12-13.

Last season, Yorktown was the only East Central Indiana team to bring home a sectional title after winning its fourth in a row. The Tigers went on to lose to Western in a Class 3A regional game. This year, Yorktown enters the postseason ranked as the No. 1 team in Class 3A according to the Softball Coaches Association of Indiana coaches poll.
