Hunter Lawrence swept the motos of the Spring Creek National and regained the red plate in Millville, Minnesota.
Hunter had a massive lead on the field in the first race. Jett Lawrence challenged Hunter for the lead momentarily, but saved his energy for the second race.
That was the right call. Hunter earned the holeshot and Jett attacked early, fell back a little to keep from getting roosted. Jett did not let him get away, however, and Laps 4 and 5 were some of the best racing seen all season.
Jett took the lead from Hunter and stretched his advantage to seven seconds until he crashed heavily on Lap 12. Jett's bike landed on him and pinned his boot to the ground. Jett remounted in fifth and handed the overall podium and the points' lead to Hunter.
Haiden was also able to get around Jett in overall scoring. The crash elevated Deegan to second in Moto 2. Combined with a fourth-place finish in the first race, he was credited with second overall.
Jett faded to fifth with his crash and was third overall after finishing second in the first race.
RJ Hampshire came up just shy of the podium and finished fourth overall.
