New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry had positive things to say about rookie third-round draft pick Eli Raridon.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway is the fact that he isn't viewing another talented tight end in the offense as a negative. Quite the contrary, Henry believes that a versatile tight end like Raridon, who excels as both a blocker and a receiver, adds real value to the offense.

"He can bring a lot of value," Henry told reporters on Tuesday, via Boston Herald's Doug Kyed.

Raridon exploded as a playmaker in his final season at Notre Dame with 32 catches for 482 yards. There is hope that he turns into a major offensive weapon for the Patriots.

Raridon will have the opportunity to develop and learn from a veteran in Henry. He has the tools to be a playmaker and succeed in the Patriots' offense.

Henry is 31 years old and playing in the final year of his contract. It's time for the Patriots to start looking toward the future at tight end, and they might have done so in a big way by drafting Raridon.
