Hulk Hogan’s legacy remains as powerful as ever, almost a year after his passing. The WWE Hall of Famer, born Terry Bollea, died of a heart attack in July 2025 at age 71.
He goes down as one of professional wrestling’s most iconic and recognizable figures. Hogan’s hulking physique, larger-than-life bravado and electrifying promos defined an era.

His colorful bandanas, vibrant ring gear and signature handlebar mustache made him a collector’s dream.
Decades after his prime, demand for Hogan memorabilia remains fierce. Now, a pair of his iconic match-worn boots has sold at auction for a staggering six-figure sum.

Iconic Auctions recorded a landmark sale in the wrestling collectibles market. A pair of Hogan’s ring-worn boots fetched $146,803 at auction. Sports business reporter Darren Rovell confirmed the sale on X.
“$146,803: Winning bid tonight at @IconicAuctions for Hulk Hogan’s boots matched to the 1989 Survivor Series and the 1990 Royal Rumble,” Rovell wrote. “It is the second-highest price ever paid for wrestling boots. Hulk’s photomatched boots from WrestleMania I sold for more than $1M in March.”
At the 1989 Survivor Series, Hogan captained “The Hulkamaniacs” against Ted DiBiase’s “Million Dollar Team.” Hogan’s squad of Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Demolition Ax and Smash eliminated DiBiase’s crew of Zeus and The Powers of Pain to claim victory.
Hogan wore the boots once more at the 1990 Royal Rumble, emerging victorious in the 30-man match. Sports Investors Authentication (SIA) verified and certified the boots as authentic Hogan match-worn gear.
The $146,803 sale ranks as the second-highest price ever paid for wrestling boots. Hogan owns both ends of the record. His WrestleMania I boots remain the benchmark at a whopping $1,037,000. It marked the first wrestling collectible ever to surpass $1 million.
