Huddersfield Giants have signed former Halifax Panthers outside back Tanguy Zenon on a deal until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old France international was available after Halifax were wound up earlier this month.
The injury-hit Giants hope to have him available for Friday's Super League game away to Castleford Tigers.
"He's got a visa for Halifax but it's not as simple as just swapping it over," head coach Luke Robinson told BBC Radio Leeds.
"He adds a bit of strength to our outside backs.
"I said before the season that we needed some depth there, and then once we lost Niall Evalds and Adam Swift we need someone to cover."
