ABBEVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – It’s the most wonderful time of the year in the Carolinas: high school football season! With the 2026 season inching closer, the Abbeville Panthers are previewed ahead of kickoff on Friday August 21 at Saluda.
ABBEVILLE PANTHERS:
Head Coach: Jamie Nickles, 23rd season
2025 Record: 9-3, 5-0 (Region Champs)
- Eight state titles in past 14 seasons: ’10, ’11, ’15-’18, ’20, ’22

Preview:
The Panthers nine win season was a significant drop-off from the past seasons. Jamie Nickles will count on Jakob Wilson or Jamiere Killingsworth, while the attack will feature Jamearion Williams as well as Collins Browns and Kingston Marshall as for the QB plan. Six starts are back in defense with Brown a leader at linebacker.
