Jaylen Brown's name has been in trade rumors in the past, but this time feels different.

The Boston Celtics want Giannis Antetokounmpo, and they're apparently willing to deal a package centered around Brown to make it happen.

That's not just some outside noise about Brown's fit with Jayson Tatum. It's legitimate reporting from multiple outlets on the reality that Brown could be sent to the Milwaukee Bucks if the Bucks say yes to the offer.

That raises a fascinating Brown dilemma, too -- if the Bucks take a different offer, how does Brown feel about having been shopped?

If he's unhappy, the Portland Trail Blazers might be interested.

That report came somewhat out of nowhere on Monday morning. This is what The Athletic's Sam Amick wrote:

"League sources say the Portland Trail Blazers would have serious interest in Brown if the Celtics made him available," Amick wrote as part of a new article on Monday. "The Blazers have been among the suitors for Antetokounmpo since the February trade deadline but appear to be on the outside looking in at the moment."

Portland is a proud franchise that hasn't quite put everything together in recent seasons, but they've got a lot of talent.

There's enough youth and draft assets as potential appeals for Brown, but the Trail Blazers also have productive current players that could interest Boston, too. They could certainly assemble a fascinating package.

Would Brown make sense in Portland? They are getting Damian Lillard back from injury for 2026-27 and are likely viewing themselves as a team that wants to contend. Brown would fit that goal.

Any deal of Brown to Portland seems like it would need other dominoes to fall first, but just the concept itself is a fascinating one to emerge.
