It’s finally gameday. The No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers are taking on the High Point Panthers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, looking to pick up where they left off to end the regular season.
Wisconsin has gone 5-1 in their last six games, winning five in a row before losing by three in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals to the eventual champion Michigan Wolverines. In that stretch, Wisconsin picked up three Quad 1 wins, beating the Washington Huskies (road, Purdue Boilermakers (road), and Illinois Fighting Illini (neutral site).
Now, they take on a 30-4 High Point team that won the Big South for the second year in a row. The Panthers finished the year on a 14-game win streak, and currently have one of the best offenses in the country, averaging 90.0 points per game, which ranks fifth in the nation.
High Point was a trendy upset pick last year, but fell short 75-63 to the Purdue Boilermakers in the first round. Do they have what it takes this year to make some noise?
Here’s how you can watch Thursday’s game for Wisconsin against High Point.
