The San Francisco Giants conclude this road series against the Kansas City Royals this morning. Since it’s a brunch game, I figured we’d just combine the BP and game thread for today.
Taking the mound for the Giants is right-hander Landen Roupp, who enters today’s game with a 3.98 ERA, 3.33 FIP, with 106 strikeouts to 45 walks in 104 innings pitched. His last start was in the Giants’ 7-0 win over the Seattle Mariners on Friday, in which he allowed just two hits and three walks with two strikeouts in seven innings.
He’ll be facing off against Royals right-hander Seth Lugo, who enters today’s game with a 4.39 ERA, 4.34 FIP, with 89 strikeouts to 36 walks in 110.2 innings pitched. His last start was in the Royals’ 7-6 win over the San Diego Padres on Friday, in which he allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits with three strikeouts and two walks in six innings.
