Bridgewater Little Leaguers are now just one game away from a dream trip to Williamsport, Pennsylvania and the Little League World Series.
The team cruised through Districts, won sectionals, and then became the second 10-12 program in town history to win a state title. Now, with wins over Maine and Vermont in the Little League New England Regional in Bristol, Connecticut, Bridgewater advanced to the regional championship game. The final will be a rematch vs. Maine, which beat Vermont on a grand slam to end the game in 5 innings on Wednesday, August 12.
The stakes are high: The winner of the New England Region claims it's spot in the Little League World Series, which begins on Wednesday, Aug. 19. Bridgewater and Maine (Gray New Glouchester) will face off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.

The tournament began with four teams representing their states: Camels Hump (Vermont), Bridgewater (Massachusetts), Gray-New Gloucester/Raymond (Maine), and Portsmouth (New Hampshire).
New Hampshire was eliminated on Sunday, and Vermont's run came to an end on Wednesday, leaving Bridgewater and Maine as the last teams standing.
Bridgewater and Maine will face off in the championship game on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.
The regional championship between Bridgewater and Maine will be broadcast live on ESPN. Coverage will begin at 7 p.m. The two opening round games and Sunday's elimination game were streamed on ESPN+ and both Monday and Wednesday's semifinals aired on ESPN.
