Ole Miss (11-12, 3-7 SEC) returns home after a four game road swing that was absolutely brutal to face Alabama (16-7, 6-4 SEC) on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. CT. This will be the first home game since Winter Storm Fern demolished the Oxford community with weeks without power, running water, downed trees and devastated the campus. It could be a magical moment tonight to have fans back in the Pavilion and the team focused on getting back in the win column… COULD BE.
Believe it or not the last time these two teams faced off the Rebels won in Tuscaloosa, 74-64, stifling the usually potent offense of the Crimson Tide. Malik Dia scored 23 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in the upset over then No. 4 Alabama, and Dia will absolutely be needing a career night like that again for the Rebels to have a chance.
Alabama head coach Nate Oats has been snarky this week to the media following a judgment that removed eligibility from G-League player Charles Bediako. He’s compared that situation to Ilias Kamardine playing for Ole Miss this season in a not so thinly veiled jab.
Nate Oats on Ole Miss guard Ilias Kamardine:
"Played with JDA Dijon in France. It's the first-tier France division. He's a pro that played a lot of years of professional basketball before he came over here." pic.twitter.com/9PdgLIGfDk

Just some very rich and very insufferable whining and truly shocking considering what program he represents.
Ole Miss will look to slow down the tempo of this game facing an Alabama squad who has scored more than 100 points in seven games this year. The Crimson Tide is favored by 6.5 points by Vegas oddsmakers.
The Rebels and Tide tip off at 6 p.m. CT on the SEC Network and can be streamed on the ESPN app.
