Taking place at San Jose, California's SAP Center, the 2026 edition of Forbidden Door once again brings together the stars of AEW, NJPW, CMLL, STARDOM, and likely Ring of Honor.
In the announced Forbidden Door main event, it's AEW World Champion MJF and five partners going up against Mark Briscoe and five men, with that bout taking place in a steel cage and with a title shot on the line for Briscoe should his team win out. Over on the women's side, AEW Women's Champion Thekla continues her vendetta against STARDOM as she squares off with Starlight Kid.
Of course, there's also the small matter of the Owen Hart Cup tournaments, with the men's and women's finals set for Forbidden Door, and with those winners earning their own World Title shot at All In later this Summer.
So, with that in mind, here's how to watch AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026 from wherever you are in the world.

As has been the case since 2022, Forbidden Door is once again here. What started as a crossover PPV between AEW and NJPW, these days there's involvement from CMLL and STARDOM, not to mention the Tony Khan-owned Ring of Honor.
Already announced as the main event for Forbidden Door 2026, it's Team MJF vs. Team Briscoe, as MJF and Mark Briscoe line up with five partners to go to war in a mammoth 12-person tag team steel cage contest. On top of that, the caveat here is that should Briscoe's team emerge victorious, Chicken will earn himself a future shot at the Salt of the Earth's AEW World Title. Joining MJF are the Don Callis Family's Kevin Knight, Andrade El Idolo, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, and Kazuchika Okada, whereas Mark Briscoe has called in some of his Conglomeration buddies and Darby Allin.
Where the AEW Women's Champion is concerned, Thekla defends her title against Starlight Kid as part of the Toxic Spider's ongoing mission to bring down her former home promotion, STARDOM. Of course, these two have plenty of history from their time together in STARDOM, where they shared the ring over 30 times, with their most recent singles match being September 2023. Could Starlight Kid shock the world and take some AEW gold back to her home promotion?
Forbidden Door 2026 will also see the finals of the men's and women's Owen Hart Cup tournaments, with the men's final confirmed to be old rivals Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland running back a match that actually took place at Forbidden Door 2024. As for the women's Owen, Maya World has been on quite the journey, from not initially being in the Owen, to being a last-minute replacement for Hazuki, to overcoming her trainer and ROH Women's Champion Athena, to now lining up to face another of her idols, Mercedes Moné, in San Jose.
In other title matches, Jon Moxley puts his AEW Continental Championship on the line against ROH World Champion Bandido in a match that has plenty of potential to steal the show; Moxley's fellow Death Rider PAC gets a shot at new IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion ***** Umino; and the Dogs duo of David Finlay and Clark Connors get themselves a crack at Adam Copeland and Christian Cage's AEW Tag Team Championships.

Elsewhere, in the only other confirmed match as of this writing, we've an extremely juicy AEW vs. NJPW bout as Kenny Omega has accepted a challenge from Zack Sabre Jr. Two former IWGP Heavyweight Champions, this will be only the third ever one-on-one match between Omega and Sabre, and the first since Kenny picked up a win over the Brit in the 2018 G1 Climax. In other crossover action, a triple-threat match pits AEW's Young Bucks against CMLL's Mistico and Mascara Dorado, with Shingo Takagi and Titan representing Unbound Co. and NJPW.
As of this writing, there is just the one match announced for the Forbidden Door pre-show, which is Divine Dominion defending their AEW Tag Team Titles against Thunder Rosa and Olympia, with Rosa and Olympia representing CMLL. Given that recent AEW PPVs have had 12 or 13 matches dotted across the main card and pre-show, it seems likely that another few matches might be added to the line-up by the time bell time gets here on Sunday. Interestingly, current IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji has said he'll be boycotting Forbidden Door, so it remains to be seen whether the top star of New Japan Pro-Wrestling will ultimately have a role to play on Sunday.
