The 154th Open Championship runs from Thursday, July 16, through Sunday, July 19, at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. The celebrated course is hosting the tournament for the 11th time and for the first time since Jordan Spieth’s memorable victory in 2017. Firm fairways, deep bunkers, thick rough, and unpredictable bounces will force players to carefully manage every shot around one of the most demanding links courses in the Open rotation.

Scottie Scheffler headlines the 156-player field as he attempts to successfully defend the Claret Jug and become the first golfer to win consecutive Opens since Padraig Harrington in 2007 and 2008. Rory McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele, and Justin Rose are also among the leading contenders, with Rose returning to the course where he first gained international attention as a 17-year-old amateur in 1998.
