Erling Haaland will look to spearhead Norway to victory over Sweden as both teams clash in their penultimate warm-up ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

A Scandinavian showdown will see Norway host Sweden on Monday in what will be the final matchup before teams fly out to the United States for the FIFA World Cup 2026. More than a decade has passed since the Swedes last got one over their near-border rival, while the Norwegians are undefeated in their last six encounters.
Erling Haaland has just completed another season as the Premier League’s top scorer and claimed the Golden Boot for the third time in four years. However, he’ll have silverware in his sights this summer after Manchester City failed to clinch the crown behind Arsenal.
The Viking has 55 goals in 49 games for his country and will bring up a half-century of appearances for Norway provided he takes to the field in Oslo. Meanwhile, captain Martin Odegaard will almost certainly watch from the sidelines after he was part of the Arsenal team that lost the Champions League final to PSG less than 48 hours prior.
The same applies to Gunners team-mate Viktor Gyokeres, who scored the decider that clinched qualification for Sweden via the UEFA playoffs. That makes it even more likely Liverpool’s Alexander Isak will lead their line as he looks to put a hugely disappointing first season at Anfield behind him.
