Houston forced Game 6 with a 99-93 win in Los Angeles in Game 5, cutting the Lakers’ series lead to 3-2 after falling behind 3-0.
The Rockets have done it while playing without Kevin Durant, who is not expected to return for Game 6 because of a left ankle bone bruise. Houston’s turnaround has come through defense, activity, and winning the possession battle, with Alperen Şengün, Amen Thompson, and Jabari Smith Jr. helping carry the load.
