An unexpected rivalry has emerged from this year's SEC baseball tournament in Hoover, and the commissioner of the league has spoken on the viral discourse.
The automatic ball-strike system is the culprit of the latest back-and-forth between SEC social media admins. ABS was introduced to the SEC Tournament for the first time this season, also marking a first for college baseball.
After becoming the first team to challenge a call using ABS, Ole Miss baseball took to its X account to share news of the "HISTORY MADE."
Little did the Rebels know that they would spark a series of dueling social media graphics which eventually prompted SEC commissioner Greg Sankey to make an X post of his own.
"The first college baseball conference ever to start a social media trend about the automatic ball-strike system," the graphic read.

Had 9-seed Ole Miss won the challenge − or the game against 16-seed Missouri − there's a chance that the trend may have never taken off.
But the next day, rival Mississippi State overturned a call using ABS, and the Bulldogs had a graphic ready to go:
"The first college baseball program in the state of Mississippi to ever successfully challenge a call using the automatic ball-strike system."
On Thursday, May 21, the Arkansas baseball X account joined the joke just to ask it to "stop."
The Razorbacks mimicked the style of the graphic, complete with cutouts of tipped baseball caps, but clarified in highlighter yellow that they were 'NOT' "the first college baseball program ever to post a graphic about the automated ball-strike system."
Then, a new conference entered the chat.
The University of Maryland-Baltimore County athletic department responded to Arkansas with another graphic:
"The first team in the America East to make a post about this meme − our conference tournament doesn't have ABS."
Even when it comes to memes, in the SEC, it just means more.
