CANTON − More than 100 Pro Football Hall of Famers sashayed down the football red carpet, known as George Halas Drive NW on Aug. 7.
They walked. They rode in golf carts. A couple relied on transport chairs.
The greats of the game did whatever was needed to get from point A, north of the museum, to Point B, on the museum steps.
An adoring throng of fans, who lined the street and gathered in watch areas, shouted, screamed, and cheered for their favorite players in the annual Pro Football Hall of Famer Walk, sponsored by Smith + Nephew.
The free event, open to the public, ended around 11:30 a.m. at the original museum rotunda. Icons from past enshrinement classes, posed for a group photo with the members of this year's class.
