Sunday saw Caitlin Clark reach a national team milestone that she won't soon forget.
After starting from the bench in her first three appearances at the FIBA Women's World Cup qualifying tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Clark was named to the starting five by head coach Nate Tibbetts for USA Basketball's fourth group game against plucky New Zealand.
Though the US struggled at the start, they ended the first quarter on a 16-2 run and haven't looked back since.

Initially, Clark the offensive load with Chelsea Gray and Kelsey Plum before Paige Bueckers entered the game midway through the quarter -- the US guard rotation really is an embarrassment of riches. Clark ended the first quarter with three points and one assist in six minutes played.
Clark returned to the floor with 4:43 remaining in the second quarter -- and the US on an extended 33-6 scoring run. Upon returning, she shot long on a 3-pointer and spent several possessions playing off-ball as she shared the court with Plum and Bueckers -- whom she set up for a 3 with 1:20 left in the half.
