How many of the Indianapolis Colts' opponents in 2026 were playoff teams during the 2025 NFL season?
On paper, the Colts have the ninth-easiest strength of schedule based on their opponents' projected win totals. By win percentage from the 2025 season, the Colts' strength of schedule ranks tied for 28th this season. This includes facing only four teams that made the 2025 postseason.
Those teams are the Houston Texans (twice), Jacksonville Jaguars (twice), Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Philadelphia Eagles. That's six total games against 2025 playoff teams.
According to FOX Sports Greg Auman, only three teams have fewer games against playoff teams.
Last season, the Colts went 2-8 against eventual playoff teams, with five of those losses coming after Daniel Jones' injury.
The Colts have undergone their share of roster turnover this offseason, which includes 10 additions made during free agency, while also moving on from Kenny Moore, Michael Pittman, and Zaire Franklin.
However, GM Chris Ballard's top priority was re-signing Jones, with the belief being that the success he had through the first half of the year can be replicated in 2026.
