She was only getting started.

The outside hitter had a breakout senior season and it led to a bright future. Potter signed to continue her volleyball career at Cornerstone University.

"What stuck out to me about Cornerstone University was the welcoming community and the Godly environment there," Potter said. "Meeting the girls on the team, and the coaches, it was evident that despite their passion for the sport, they put their identity in something much greater, God."

Potter earned all-conference in the OK Black and all-region honors in the fall. She totaled 262 kills, 42 aces and 236 digs.

"Playing at the collegiate level was something I've had my heart set on since watching my first college volleyball game back in the fifth grade," Potter said. "Every day, every practice, and every team I’ve been on, was all a part of the process of readying myself to be on a college team. Being given the opportunity to play for Cornerstone means so much to me. Not only is it an opportunity to live out my desire to be on a college team, but also provides me with the opportunity to continue to accomplish future goals when it comes to the sport of volleyball."

Now the work continues as Potter looks to be ready for the speed of the college game.

"My commitment level and drive to keep improving is more than ready for the college level," she said. "Leading up to the fall season, I am continuing to increase my agility and strength. Along with advancing my different shots on the court in order to maximize my ability as an offensive player."
