Golden Tempo did it again.
The Kentucky Derby winner is the Belmont Stakes winner.
He didn't race at the Preakness Stakes, so there's no Triple Crown, but he goes 2-for-2 in the biggest 3-year old races he could run in this year.
He spent most of Saturday's race at the back of the nine-horse field, but he eventually found a burst down the stretch to claim the win.

How is Golden Tempo related to Secretariat?
Secretariat is five generations back on Golden Tempo's maternal side. That's usually the side Secretariat comes from -- he had strong daughters, more so than strong sons.
Secretariat was the father to Weekend Surprise, who paired with Seattle Slew to have A.P. Indy.
A.P. Indy is a massively successful sire, and his son Bernardini had Carrumba, who was the mother to Golden Tempo.
Golden Tempo's father was the great Curlin, who won the Preakness Stakes and the Breeders' Cup Classic.
Golden Tempo's speed is clearly no fluke. He used it well.
