Last March, the Cincinnati Bengals added defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins and offensive tackle Trent Brown via free agency.
Brown suffered a season-ending knee injury in his third game with the Bengals. Rankins played in just seven games, suffering an early-season injury followed by viral meningitis the second half of the season.
Both Rankins and Brown are now with the Houston Texans, which announced Brown's signing Monday and Rankins' one-year deal earlier this month.
Rankins played for the Texans in 2023, and enters his 10th NFL season. Brown enters his 11th NFL season.
Former Bengals running back Joe Mixon had 1,016 rushing yards and 309 receiving yards with 12 total touchdowns in his first season with the Texans. It was the fifth time in eight NFL seasons Mixon has eclipsed the 1,000-yard rushing mark.
