Following the LaMelo Ball trade, the Charlotte Hornets wasted no time in inking Coby White to a contract extension. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the deal is worth $74 million over three seasons.

The move comes after Charlotte acquired White from the Chiacgo Bulls at February's trade deadline. Since his arrival, the former UNC guard was a great scorer off the bench, averaging 15.6 points, three assists, and three rebounds in 19.3 minutes per game.

Now with the departure of Ball, White will likely step into a starting role barring another trade. As a starter with Chicago during the 2024-25 season, White averaged 20.4 points, 4.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 74 games.
